DR. SAMANTHA ELLIS
Hello!
I’m Dr. Sam Ellis, a board-certified medical and cosmetic dermatologist and the founder of Prequel.
As a dermatologist, I’ve seen, used, and recommended a lot of skincare - from drugstore brands to medical-grade pharmaceuticals and cosmeceuticals. Despite the options out there, I’ve always felt there was a greater need for more advanced, elegant formulations that are accessible to all.
And that’s why I created Prequel.
I wanted to create a line of dermatologist-developed, solution-focused products formulated to optimize skin health, be safe for those with chronic skin conditions, and provide an elevated user experience. I want everyone to be confident in their own skin and the products they use to help it thrive.

Dermatologist
Dr. Oliver is a board-certified dermatologist and Castle Connolly Top Doctor with a passion for patient education and advancing representation in dermatology. She has a special interest in pigmentary disorders and skin of color, with a focus on improving the recognition, diagnosis, and treatment of dermatologic conditions across all skin tones.
Dr. Kiyanna Williams
Dermatologist
Dr. Kiyanna Williams is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care. She believes in building meaningful connections with her patients, listening closely to their concerns, and empowering them through education so they can make informed decisions about their health and cosmetic goals.
Dr. Cory Kosche
Dermatologist
As a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon and board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Kosche brings advanced expertise in skin cancer treatment, reconstructive surgery, and state-of-the-art cosmetic dermatology to Skin Care and Laser Physicians of Beverly Hills. With a passion for achieving both optimal medical and cosmetic outcomes, Dr. Kosche combines precision surgical techniques with cutting-edge cosmetic dermatology to restore both health and confidence in his patients.

Dermatologist
Dr. Andrew Park is a board-certified dermatologist known for his expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He brings a strong academic foundation and global perspective to patient care, with a focus on evidence-based treatments and natural, personalized results.
Dr. Iris Lee
Cosmetic Chemist
R&D chemist focused on personal care formulations with a background in biochemistry and microbiology. She develops products from concept to manufacturing scale, with most of her work involving formulation optimization, stability testing, and problem-solving.
Dr. Lina Kennedy
Dermatologist
Dr. Lina Kennedy is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in general, surgical, cosmetic, and laser dermatology, shaped by her training at Howard University Hospital and experience across diverse patient populations. A Southern California native and founder of Grace Dermatology, she has also served in academic dermatology, teaching residents through UC Irvine and caring for veterans at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center.
Dr. Cheri Frey
Dermatologist
Dr. Cheri Frey is an associate professor of dermatology at Howard University in Washington DC, where she also serves as the residency program director, director of cosmetic dermatology, and medical director of the Beacon of Hope Clinical Trials program.
Dr. Frey has a passion for teaching and mentoring. She is a past Chair of the Dermatology section of the NMA where she co-founded the Diversity in Clinical Research Clinical Investigator Training program with former Skin of Color Society president Dr. Valerie Harvey.
Dr. Divya Shokeen
Board-Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Shokeen is a board-certified dermatologist, a UCLA graduate, and the founder of OSVI Dermatology and Surgical Institute.
Since 2019, Dr. Shokeen has been named a “Super Doctor” every single year — an honor voted on by her peers, reflecting the deep trust she’s earned in the medical community. She’s also graced the cover of TopDoctor Magazine and has been recognized as a Castle Connolly “Top Doctor” for four consecutive years for her expertise in medical dermatology, cosmetic treatments, and hair restoration.
